Portfolio Project Schedule
Week 2, Blog 3
Thursday, February 6th, 2025
Today, after discussing with my partners, Fatima, Julia, and Santina, we were able to brainstorm ideas about the film, as well as share our responsibilities and times of working on this project. Therefore, we decided to create a schedule to organize everything. Time management is crucial, especially for a long-term project like this. Being organized and aware of when tasks will be completed is essential. In the next 8 weeks, you will see what my group and I will focus on to achieve this.
To-Do List (in chronological order)
- 4 blog posts per week
- Decide on who will be the actor
- Find a place to film
- Finalize opening details
- Create a storyboard
- Find music
- Record scenes
- Find outfits for the actors, or decide on what they will wear
- Buy/create needed props
- Export/edit scenes
- Finalize video (male changes if necessary)
- Create the reflection
Timeline
Week 1 (1/29-2/2)
- Complete 2 blog posts
- Start brainstorming ideas for the film opening
- Complete 4 blog posts
- Research film openings for the genre chosen (Drama)
- Finalize idea of what the story will be about
- Research on mise-en-scene elements we want to include in our film
- Meeting with teacher to discuss ideas
- Set filming dates
- Complete 4 blog posts
- Start working on props for video
- Finalize actors and clothing they will wear
- Complete 4 blog posts
- Start filming
- Finalize what music we will need

- Continue filming
- Fix any details needed in terms of production

- Edit/export everything needed
- Re-shoot scenes (If needed)

- Finish editing film
- Revise that everything is done
- Begin reflection

- Finish Creative Critical Reflection
- Research info relating to the reflection
- Any final touches to the project.
Thoughts
We are determined to support each other throughout this amazing journey. I have challenged myself to think outside the box and express my creativity. I am really excited about the next weeks and what we create. I am determined to learn from my mistakes and always try to do a better job.
